Embracing Balance Counseling Solutions, LLC was established in late 2016,
with a vision of creating a counseling practice where people could receive
knowledgeable, affirming mental health care without having to censor, explain or defend who they are. The practice officially opened its doors on May 8, 2017, with a particular commitment to serving LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples and families and others who have historically struggled to find providers who understand and affirm their identities, relationships and lived experiences.

Since then, Embracing Balance has grown from a local Central Florida practice into a virtual counseling practice serving clients across multiple states (Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and more to come) while remaining rooted in the values on which it was founded: authenticity, inclusion, curiosity and genuinely non-judgmental care.

Embracing Balance is credentialed with several major insurance networks, including Optum/UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna and Cigna, helping make affirming mental health care more accessible. The practice is also part of Orlando's Safepace Alliance and a member of The Pride Chamber of Orlando, reflecting its continued commitment to supporting and remaining connected with the LGBTQIA+ community.

Nearly a decade after its founding, Embracing Balance continues to evolve while staying true to its original purpose: providing a space where clients can bring their whole selves to therapy and receive care that respects the many different ways people live, love, identify, build families and navigate the world.
